God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world. — C.S. Lewis

Learning to know God well -- living my everyday life with Him -- continues to be my greatest joy and ongoing goal. A few years ago, I went through a divorce (after 34 years of marriage), a serious health scare, and the onset of my Mom's dementia - all at the same time. Completely overwhelmed, I was leveled to the ground. I didn't know what to do other than just sit in the darkness with God for awhile. I will always be grateful that He sat with me -- He took all my thinking and turned it inside out. And I saw Him so much more clearly than ever before. You know how you see something incredibly beautiful and you just have to show someone else? This blog is my attempt to show you how beautiful God is.
And me? Back to full-time work, so I'm a client project coordinator who works from home and visits my parents and loves my two dogs and my two wonderful young adult daughters. (I homeschooled them for 11 years.) I have somehow transformed into a person who can keep plants alive and who likes to imagine that stars are windows and other weird things. I find myself looking for beauty everywhere and am thankful I have an iPhone to take pictures of it when I see it! Most of the time, I'm reading several books -- lately I'm fascinated by how Christianity ties in with psychology and neuroscience. I’m fascinated by life itself and I’m not afraid of eternity. I’ve never had more hope.
